3.1.5. Cover of a head of cylinders

GENERAL INFORMATION

Nuts of fastening of a cover of a head of cylinders and ventilating hose

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the air filter.
2. Disconnect a ventilating hose from a cover of a head of cylinders.
3. On the M20 engine remove a rack of the soaking-up collector and an arm of sensors (or the valve of stabilization of turns of idling), previously having disconnected sockets.

4. Turn off nuts of fastening of a cover. Disconnect the holder of high-voltage wires, or remove a casing of wires from hairpins (in the drawing on the right – the 4-cylinder engine, in the drawing at the left – the 6-cylinder engine).
5. Uncover a head of cylinders of the M40 engine and laying.
6. On the M40 engine also uncover a cam-shaft.
7. Get a semicircular cap in a forward part of a head of cylinders of the M40 engine (if are provided).
8. Before installation clear the condensed surfaces of a cover and a head of cylinders of the remains of consolidations.
9. Replace a semicircular cap, having greased the place of a prileganiye to laying of a cover of a head of cylinders with RTV sealant. Wrap nuts within no more than 10 min. after putting sealant.
10. Uncover also laying. On the M40 engine also uncover a cam-shaft. Get a semicircular cap in a forward part of a head of cylinders (if are provided).
11. On the M40 engine establish a cover of a cam-shaft and new laying. Evenly tighten nuts as it should be specified illustrations, without allowing their excessive tightening not to sdeformirovat a cover.
12. Further assembly is carried out upside-down.
