3.1.10. Covers of a gear belt (M20 and M40 engines)

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the battery from weight.

2. Remove the coupling and a casing of the fan of the cooling system.

3. On the M20 engine remove a radiator.

4. Remove a fan drive belt pulley.

5. Disconnect wires of the sensor of turn of the crankshaft which on a cover of a gear belt and take aside (if the sensor is provided).

6. On a part of cars uncover the ignition distributor.

7. Remove the runner.

8. Remove a plastic casing of black color under the runner.

9. Remove the lower pulley of a belt of the fan and a pulley-uspokoitel. At an otpuskaniye of peripheral bolts of fastening of pulleys hold a key the central bolt.

10. Turn off bolts and nuts of fastening of covers to the engine, remove at first the top, then lower covers (M20 engine).

Turn off bolts and nuts of fastening of covers to the engine, remove at first the top, then lower covers (M40 engine).
Prevention
Track safety of the directing plugs of the top bolts of a cover.

11. Assembly is carried out upside-down.
