10.4. Blocks of disk brakes

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Blocks of brakes have to change at the same time, both on lobbies and on back wheels.

For removal of the sensor beat out a pin (shooter).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Uncover (also) a tank and remove two thirds of liquid.
2. Lift a forward (back) part of the car and establish on supports.
3. Remove a forward (back) wheel. Working at a brake of one wheel, you can use a brake of another as a sample.
4. Check a condition of a brake disk. If grinding is necessary, then remove a disk.
	5. Turn off bolts.
	6. If it is necessary to remove a brake disk, then turn off bolts of fastening of an arm of a support. At an otvorachivaniye of a bolt of fastening of a support it is necessary to hold a support axis.
	7. Remove a support, the sensor of wear of blocks and an internal block. Then install an internal block on the piston and completely drown the piston in the cylinder by means of a clamp.
	8. Disconnect the socket of the sensor of wear of blocks.
	9. Holding guides, turn off bolts of fastening of a support.
	10. Remove an external brake shoe.
For a support of a back brake
	11. Disconnect the socket.
	12. Remove caps and turn off bolts.
	13. Remove an antinoise spring.
	14. Drown the piston by means of a clamp.
	15. Remove a support and an internal block.
	16. Remove an internal brake shoe.
	17. Fix a support by a wire.
	18. Remove an external brake shoe.
Prevention The quantity and design of antinoise slips and some other details for different models can differ. Therefore it is recommended to remember previously an arrangement of slips and other details that at assembly not to break an order of their installation.
	19. Check a condition of the sensor of wear of a block (on a forward left wheel (shooter), or on forward left and back the right). If sensors in the normal state, then install them on new blocks. At detection of damages replace sensors.
20. Installation is carried out upside-down. Tighten support bolts with the set moment. Prevention If necessary replace bolts.
21. Upon termination of press several times a brake pedal. The pedal has to settle down at former height and has to be rigid. Check liquid level. Be convinced of lack of leaks and check work of brakes before operation of the car.

After change of blocks avoid sharp braking throughout the first several hundred km of a run.
