3.3.8. System of launch of the engine

3.3.8.1. Introduction

GENERAL INFORMATION

The system consists of the battery, a starter, the traction relay and connecting wires. The traction relay is mounted directly on a starter. The starter assembled with the traction relay is mounted in the lower part of the engine, by a transmission case nearby. On parts of the cars equipped with the manual transmission, a starter can join only at the pressed coupling pedal. On cars with automatic transmission the starter can join only in that case when the lever of the selector is in situation Park or Neutral.
