2.9. Check and restoration of level of liquid in a wheel

GENERAL INFORMATION

Tank of the pump of the hydraulic booster
Falling of level gives norms to failure of the pump of the hydraulic booster below.

On a part of cars the tank of the pump of the hydraulic booster is mounted in the left part of a motor compartment. In a stopper of a tank the probe is built in. On a part of cars the tank of the power steering is combined with a tank of the hydraulic booster of brakes.
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Warm up the engine and idling turn a wheel in both parties, thereby having removed air from system. Turn out a stopper with the probe, wipe, again wrap a stopper, then again turn out and check level on edge of a film of liquid on the probe. Level of liquid has to be between two risks (shooters specified control risks).
2. On cars with the hydraulic booster of brakes press 10 times a brake pedal, turn off a cap nut, remove a stopper and be convinced that the level of liquid is not lower than 6 mm from the upper edge of a tank.
3. If necessary add liquid.
4. The frequent dolivka of liquid indicates dribble in hoses of the hydraulic booster, in unions of hoses, in the pump of the hydraulic booster, and also in the steering mechanism, need of careful check and elimination of malfunction.
5. Check a power steering pump drive belt tension.
